PORTRAITURE

Portraiture is truly one of the most captivating genres for me to capture through my lens. I find immense joy in weaving narratives of individuals, akin to frozen frames from a cinematic masterpiece, or simply immortalizing the essence of the person before me. The act of photographing someone is an honor, a moment of profound intimacy granted by their trust. This privilege is incredibly humbling, and I approach each session with the utmost respect and care. I am dedicated to extracting the finest nuances of every individual I photograph, constantly challenging the capabilities of my camera to achieve the desired results. Notably, all that you witness within these frames is a direct result of the magic captured in-camera, including the intricate multiple exposures that add a unique dimension to my work.

My inspirations stem from a diverse range of artists, each with their unique styles and perspectives. Richard Avedon, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Patrick Demarchelier captivate me with their mastery of capturing profound moments. In the world of cinematography, the visual storytelling prowess of Christopher Doyle and Wong Kar Wai resonates deeply with me. From the realm of painting, Edward Hopper's use of light and shadow has influenced my work. Photographers like Fan Ho, Steven Klein, and Nick Knight bring innovation and creativity to their images. Additionally, the timeless elegance of Horst P. Horst and Peter Lindbergh, as well as the boldness of Helmut Newton and Herb Ritts, inspire me to push boundaries in my own photography. The dreamlike creations of Eugenio Recuenco and Paolo Roversi, the edginess of David Sims and Mario Sorrenti, and the whimsical world-building of Guillermo del Toro and Tim Walker all contribute to my evolving perspective. Furthermore, the precision of Albert Watson and the whimsy of Rodney Smith enrich my artistic vision, creating a tapestry of influences that guide me in my photographic journey.
